About Brick Verdict
Most reviews tell you what is in the box. We tell you whether it deserves your money.
What we do
Brick Verdict gives buying guidance on LEGO® sets for adult builders and parents who buy: should you buy now, wait for a better price, or skip it? Every verdict gives a clear call, usually a target price, and the date we checked prices.
How we reach a verdict
- Facts from the source. Piece counts, dimensions and list prices come from LEGO.com and are cross-checked against Brickset. Sources are listed at the end of every verdict.
- Price against value. We compare the list price with sets of a similar size, work out the price per piece and check whether the set is about to retire.
- Honest about what we tested. If we built the set ourselves, the text says so. Otherwise the verdict is based on facts, prices and availability, and we don't give it a star rating.
- Dates on everything. We say when a price was checked and update the verdict when things change.
Our principles
- Price and value, not investment. We don't give investment advice and never promise that a set will rise in value.
- Independent. Stores that pay commission are never ranked higher. Sponsors never influence a verdict. Read our advertising & affiliate policy.
- Humans decide. We use tools to collect data and produce videos, but every verdict is reviewed and approved by a person.
